Service and acceptance
Free AI Gateway is an independent gateway to third-party AI models, with free models as its primary focus. Creating a key, making each AI request or submitting each top-up after reviewing these terms acknowledges acceptance to the extent permitted by applicable law. Do not use the service if you disagree. You must have the legal capacity and authority to use it.
Free first; paid is optional
FREE means the configured input and output token prices are zero; cache tokens are free too. These models need no positive balance. Paid models are optional: balance pays for usage, not a subscription guaranteeing a particular model. Paid options may be selected for greater stability, but payment itself guarantees neither availability nor answer quality.
Availability, catalogue and limits
The free project offers no individual SLA or continuous availability commitment. Free and paid models may become unavailable, change, or leave the catalogue. We regularly update model options. Where gateway quotas are disabled, provider and technical limits still apply. We may introduce limits, including emergency anti-abuse restrictions. Plan a fallback for critical workloads. None of this removes obligations for paid services or mandatory consumer rights.
Prices and balance
Balance and catalogue prices are in USD. Uncached input, output, cache read and cache write are accounted separately using provider-reported usage, at prices selected when the request begins. Costs are rounded up to a microdollar. Missing token counts are not estimated; entirely missing usage is not charged. Failed requests are currently not charged. RUB invoices use an available official exchange-rate source plus 5%, fixed per invoice. Review processing fees, final payment amount and credited balance before paying. Payment requires independent server confirmation; opening a success page does not credit balance.
Errors and refunds
Duplicate payments, incorrect charges and inability to supply paid services require assessment and correction or refund where applicable. These terms do not impose a blanket no-refund policy or waive mandatory remedies. Do not share full API keys or card details in a dispute. Operator identity and a working support contact must be published before a full paid-service launch; these details are currently being finalized. Balance is for services, not a bank deposit or interest-bearing product.
Acceptable use and data
Protect your keys and revoke compromised ones. Do not violate laws or third-party rights, attack infrastructure, bypass safeguards or intentionally overload the service. Access may be restricted proportionately to abuse without removing mandatory financial rights. Requests pass through the gateway to a model provider. We do not archive prompts, responses or individual AI request histories; aggregate accounting, financial records and temporary processing are described in the privacy policy. AI output can be wrong: independently verify important information.
Updates and law
Material changes are published before taking effect, except necessary emergency security measures. Each new top-up displays the applicable terms again. Continuing after reviewing updates acknowledges the revised terms where lawful. Changes do not retroactively reprice completed usage or reduce mandatory rights for paid services. Applicable law and competent authorities are determined by relevant rules pending publication of operator details and any lawful jurisdiction agreement. Invalidity of one provision does not invalidate the rest.
